2007 Gauley Festival Report
The largest group of whitewater enthusiasts in the USA gathered again to run the famous Class V rapids of the Gauley River and this year the weather was spectacular - it felt like Summer :) No mud wrestling :(
RipBoard(s) by far were the board of choice as a record number of boarders were spotted on the Gauley and New rivers. RipBoard introduced a mixed group of college students from Radford University and Liberty University to riverboarding (pics coming soon). The Animal race on Monday was won by Chuck Kayser riding a RipBoard Racer - what else? Liz Arnold won the title "Iron Woman" at the Wave Sport Competiton held Friday on Pillow Rock rapid. A title she will surely hold as Liz is now in Peru preparing to make several 1st Descents - way to go Liz! Ewok and his fellow boarders captured some amazing video footage from the Upper Gauley - Sweets Falls (will post soon). For all those who didn't make it - you missed out!

2006 Gauley Festival report

West Virginia's Gauley Fest was muddy - great for mud wrestling! RipBoard's 8th annual trip to the Gauley river yielded more boarders than ever. Checkout the Gauley river board. RipBoard is the first company to design a board specifically for the Gauley's famous Class V rapids.
