August - is prime time surfing at - Clear Creek Whitewater Park in Golden, CO. Clear creek has ten Class II whitewater rapids along it's mile and a half length and is a popular kayaking, tubing and riverboarding. Weekends are busiest as the temps warm up in late Summer. RipBoard offers riverboarding lessons from late May thru August. Grab a swimsuit, get wet - ride a ripboard. Reservations are required.
